Air India resuming flights to Australia will boost tourism

New Delhi: Expanding its global network with Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, Air India will be launching its Amritsar-Delhi-Birmingham flight from August 1.
The flight, which would operate four days a week, would be the fourth between India and the United Kingdom.
The national carrier had introduced its Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on Delhi-London route, which was the third flight to the city from India.
"Air India's direct flight from Delhi to Birmingham will not only fulfill the needs of the ethnic community to fly to India direct but also help to develop better tourism and trade relations in general," an Air India spokesperson said.
The new flight would operate on the Amritsar-Delhi- Birmingham-Delhi-Amritsar route with Dreamliner aircraft on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, he added.
