Aerobatic pilots to add thrill to paragliding event at Dharamshala

Dharmashala: The paragliding pre-world cup being held at Bir-Billing from October 24 to 30 after a gap of three years is all set to add more colour to the picturesque Dhauladhar skyline with aerobatic pilots performing impossible maneuvers to challenge the formidable mountains.
Bir-Billing (2,290m) is among the highest sites for paragliding in the world. Sheltered by snow-clad mountains and surrounded by tea gardens, it is considered among one of the best take-off sites. The organizers have received 175 applications from across the world. But to avoid air traffic, the managing committee is of the view to allow 110 pilots only. Women paragliding world champion Kalaudia Bulgakow is also one of the participants, while top five ranking pilots are taking part in this event, said the organizers.
