New Delhi: Indian carriers experienced a double-digit growth as domestic air traffic jumped over 11 per cent in October compared to the same month last year, IATA said today. Airlines in India "have experienced substantial volatility in traffic and it is likely that the increase is a result of unusually low volumes a year ago rather than growth in October", the latest air traffic analysis of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) said. While Indian carriers experienced double-digit growth as traffic leapt 11.5 per cent in October compared to a year ago, it said the passenger load factor rose 1.4 per cent to 72.1 per cent while air capacity climbed 9.4 per cent.
