Nagpur: Last Sunday, an Indigo Delhi-Nagpur flight 6E 135 landed at the city's Babasaheb Ambedkar International airport around an hour after its scheduled time of arrival. However, while the airline officials didn't specify the exact cause for this delay, a passenger who travelled in this flight said that the aircraft captain didn't turn up for a very long time after boarding formalities were completed.
"Out of boredom, passengers started roaming inside the aircraft and even entered the cockpit taking photographs," said Shobha Dhanwatey, a passenger.
When contacted, the airline said that what happened was strictly according to the policy of the airline of bonding with passengers. "We encourage passengers to interact with out crew and when the plane is stationary they can enter the cockpit to interact with the captain. There is no safety hazard while the aircraft is still on ground," said the official airline spokesperson.
