Mumbai: The month of May has been a good one for Air India thanks to its increased passenger loads during the holiday season.
The national carrier has registered a 20 per cent increase in passenger revenues per day to ?44 crore from ?38 crore in the corresponding year ago quarter, said a company spokesperson.
The average number of passengers carried by the airline in May went up by five per cent from 45,230 last year to 47,700. The passenger load factor on the domestic network was 80 per cent last month, while in the international sector it was 73 per cent.
