Fare war: Make the most of it, book your air tickets now



Thanks to AirAsia's promotional offer and competitive pricing by some airlines in response to that, airfares are once again touching the ground. However, holidaymakers are asking for more. Many of them are wondering whether they should wait for a few more weeks before booking for their monsoon trips and Diwali vacations. Most travel experts don't think so.

They feel that individuals should complete their bookings now if they have finalised their holiday plans, as airfares are already cheaper. In fact, fares are traditionally cheaper during this period every year, they add.


"Fares are down as this is a lean season. If you have finalised your travel plans, you should go ahead and book now as airlines are offering attractive fares," says Rajesh Rateria, managing director, Cirrus Travels. "It is always better to book early, as travelling involves a lot of planning.
