Mumbai: With a view to provide hassle- free movement to passengers across the new terminal (T2) at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, the airport operator Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) has undertaken a slew of measures ahead of monsoons.
This will be the first monsoon for the new terminal building, which has been appreciated for its modern design but also criticised for being infested with mosquitoes.
For several weeks now, the grand white peacock inspired roof on the fourth level of the terminal building has been tested for rain water proofing during the day time, with water being sprayed on the roof through high pressure nozzles, especially to test the endurance of the skylights.
