Heavy rains hit airport operations in Mumbai

Mumbai: Heavy rains in Mumbai have impacted operations at the city's international airport.
An official at Mumbai International Airport Ltd said that at least seven incoming flights were diverted to Ahmedabad today afternoon due to poor visibility.
Diverted flights include those operated by SpiceJet, IndiGo, and British Airways.
According to sources, the runway visibility had dropped to about 300 metres.
They said that the Mumbai airfield was shut for 20 minutes. As a result, several flights have been delayed and rescheduled.
