They started companies, corporations, invested billions of rupees, tried
various businesses, screwed it, tried again, screwed it again, listed
it, went public, withdrew it, closed it, sold it, restarted it,
restructured it, drained billions of rupees, screwed it again! India has
witnessed much bravado from its Governments so far. Many of the
Governments seemed like they were inspired by Sir Richard Branson’s
quote “Screw it, let’s do it”. But the tragedy is that they kept on
screwing it but they never did it, not even once! Most of the
Governments ventured and experimented with many businesses, which was
not their real job. Preceding Governments played the a cameo and a
godfather simultaneously. They wore the suits of an entrepreneur
alongside a body which governed those entrepreneurs — confusing but
true.

Agreed, but is there a real need to continue with it today? No. The economy is open like an open sky and it is a responsible Government’s duty to allow privateers to fly and the Government has to promote and place itself in the higher ranks of managing, governing and regulating those who are flying.
