New Delhi: Air India (AI) may curtail flights on the India-Australia
sector to five days a week from seven currently after posting a loss of
about Rs 150 crore in the first year of operations.The airline flies the
Delhi-Sydney-Melbourne route on four days and Delhi-Melbourne-Sydney on
the other three days. Two officials confirmed that a five-day-a-week
plan is being discussed."The losses are huge and the curtailment to five
days a week is being discussed. The days on which the flights will be
stopped are still being finalised," a senior Air India official said.
