Bangalore: Plaza Premium Lounge Management Ltd, a global provider of
premium airport services, intends to invest ?110 crore in India to set
up lounges and transit day hotels in Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata
airports as well as a training academy in Delhi.
The Hong Kong-based company, which has 110 lounges in 29 international airports around the world, has already invested ?185 crore in building lounges and transit hotels across the international airports of Hyderabad, Delhi and Bangalore over the last seven years.
“In 2014-15, we are planning to open 50 lounges across the world of which 25 will be complete by December 31. In India, we are in active talks with the Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata airport authorities and will invest a minimum of ?30 crore in each of the airports,” Song Hoi See, founder and CEO of Plaza Premium, told Business Line.
The company opened its first branded transit hotel in Bangalore on Thursday – the Day Hotel by Plaza Premium Lounge in the domestic departures area at Kempegowda International Airport.
