Hyderabad: The 11-kilometre road linking National Highway (NH)-7 and Srisailam state highway via Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Shamshabad, will soon have closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras.
Though the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is in charge of security on the RGIA premises, two sections of the Telangana State Special Police (TSSP) have been safeguarding the 11-kilometre stretch.
On Tuesday, Cyberabad police commissioner CV Anand in the presence of GMR Airport officials inaugurated two barracks built for the TSSP personnel on either side of the stretch. Each barrack has resting facilities for eight police personnel at any given time.
