Airport security check robs flier of mobile phone

New Delhi: In a mysterious case, a mobile phone was stolen while going under the scanner at an X-ray machine installed at Terminal-3 of the Indira Gandhi Airport. The victim said that his iPhone, which he had kept in his bag's front pocket, could not be found in his bag when it came out of the scanner.

CISF personnel and policemen tried to find the phone inside the machine besides trying to search the bag, but were not able to retrieve it even after three days of the incident. The Delhi Police has registered a case of theft against unidentified persons.

Raj Kumar Mohabe was travelling to Allahabad from Delhi by an Air India flight on last Thursday when his phone went missing. "After taking the boarding pass at around 11.08 am, I kept my mobile phone in the front pocket of my bag pack and walked down to another Air India counter where my colleague Rajesh Sinha was waiting. Both of us were going to Allahabad. We walked down for a security check at X-Ray machine no. 13," Raj Kumar told the police.
