Mumbai: Indigo Airlines on Wednesday said it would file a police complaint against two passengers who allegedly recorded videos of airhostesses and other fliers on a Delhi-Guwahati-Imphal flight early on Tuesday morning. A senior Indigo official said two instances of such recordings being made on the aircraft had been reported.
The first involved members of the crew, and the second, Angellica Aribam, a passenger, who posted pictures on twitter, and who was subsequently derided for attempting a publicity stunt.
Indigo has withheld the names of the two men.
According to the airline official, Indigo hadn't initiated action for over 24 hours after the incidents took place because it was unable to ascertain facts of the matter. "There appears to have been a mix-up of two incidents of this flight (6E-221). Incident 1 was when crew saw these two men seated in seat 29C and D take pictures and record crew going about their duty. This was taken up with the two men by the lead crew. The recording and visuals were deleted and the matter ended," a senior airline officer monitoring the case said.
