Vadodara: A dedicated art gallery is being established at Harni domestic airport near here where budding artists can showcase their creations.
"The gallery is being set up at the terminal building of the airport as per the instructions given by the Civil Aviation Ministry to the Airport Authority of India (AAI).
Once functional, budding painters and sculptors can put up their creation on display for public viewing and even for sale," AAI Director at Harni Airport, Santosh Dhoke said here today.
He said the initiative was aimed at encouraging amateur artists, many of whom come from across the country and even from abroad to learn fine arts at the reputed Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU) of Baroda.
Explaining about the gallery, Dhoke said the AAI will provide the space free of cost to artists.
