Gaya: In what is being regarded as partial relief to Gaya air travellers, the schedule of the Air India Gaya-Delhi flight has been extended till 30 June'2015. However the frequency of the flight has been reduced. As against the existing daily flight schedule, the revised schedule for the month of May and June make it a tri weekly phenomenon. For the last several years, Air India has been ferrying passenger between Gaya and the national capital only during the October-March tourist season.
Following the efforts of the Gaya DM Sanjay Agrawal and public representatives of the Magadh Division, the flight was given one month extension for the month of April'2015. The daily flight was to terminate on 30 April to be resumed in October. Refusing to give up, Agrawal and the public representatives took up the matter with the Civil Aviation ministry which, while converting the daily flight into a tri weekly format extended it till 30 June.
