AI flight makes emergency landing at Amausi

LUCKNOW: An Air India flight from New Delhi to Bhubaneswar with 169 passengers on board made an emergency landing at Amausi airport here on Tuesday afternoon after the pilot saw a crack on the aircraft's windshield.


Airport officials said the flight AI 873 was flying above Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh when the pilot detected a crack on windshield on the rear of aircraft's nose. At 11.57am, the pilot contacted the air traffic control (ATC) at Amausi airport and sought permission for emergency landing. The aircraft made a safe landing at the Amausi airport at 12.35pm.
