A Boeing 777 operated by Air France narrowly missed crashing into Mount Cameroon earlier this month French investigators have revealed.
Flight AF953 was travelling from Malabo, capital of Equatorial Guinea, to Douala, the largest city in Cameroon, when it came close to Africa’s highest mountain.
Avoiding storm clouds on May 2nd, the plane came close to hitting the 4,040-metre Mount Cameroon.
French accident investigators BEA have now opened an investigation.
The Boeing 777 aircraft had 37 people on board as it made the short journey to Douala, which is around 100 kilometres from Malabo.Read More 28/05/2015 Breaking Travel News
