Low-cost carrier Ryanair has seen profits rise 66 per cent for the year to the end of March, reporting net full-year profits of €867 million.
The ‘Always Getting Better’ customer experience programme launched by Ryanair had attracted “millions of new customers to Ryanair” chief executive Michael O’Leary said, leaving figures slightly ahead of analysts’ expectations.
Falling oil prices also reduced operating costs.
Passenger traffic at the low-cost carrier was up 11 per cent for the year, with Ryanair carrying 90.6 million customers.
At the same time, total revenue rose 12 per cent to more than €5.6 billion.
