Nashik: Despite seaplane service operator MEHAIR's inability to sustain
the service between Nashik and Pune, the district's air connectivity is
slowly taking wings. Shrinivas Airlines, which started its
Mumbai-Nashik-Mumbai flights from July 13, on Monday announced the
commencement of Nashik-Pune and Nashik-Surat return flights from August
3.
Earlier, the company had decided to commence air service from Nashik to Pune and Surat from Wednesday (July 22), but deferred it due to some technical reasons. The company started the Mumbai-Nashik-Mumbai service from July 13 with two flights daily from Monday to Saturday from Ozar airport terminal.
Speaking to TOI, managing director of Shrinivas Airlines Ganesh Nibe said, "We have finalised dates for Nashik-Pune and Nashik-Surat flights from August 3. The 10-seater plane will take off for Pune in the morning. It will take off for Surat after 1pm. We have also started bookings for both the flights. The air fare for Pune will be Rs 5,500 per person, while it will be Rs 6,000 for Surat."
