Passengers from Odisha flying to or coming from international
destinations now have more reasons to cheer. Buoyed by the success of
its first international flight from the Biju Patnaik International
Airport here on July 10, Air India has decided to start three more
international flights from the city very soon after obtaining necessary
approval from the Union Civil Aviation ministry, sources said.
Within just 10 days of the commencement of international flights from the city, more than 500 passengers have flown to foreign countries from Bhubaneswar, airport sources said.
Taking note of the enthusiasm of the passengers, Air India has expressed its keenness on running three more international flights—AI-873, AI-473 and AI-669— from New Delhi and Mumbai to Bhubaneswar.
