Mumbai: A day after mid-day’s report about a 32-year-old woman security officer registering a case against a senior security manager at Mumbai International Airport, the woman has been given back her job, and an inquiry has been initiated against the alleged accused. However the woman has not received salary for one month, and the accused, Lalsingh Bhandari (38) is still working at the same place, with the police yet to arrest him.
On Tuesday, mid-day published an article (‘Sexually harassed airport staffer lodges FIR, cops yet to arrest accused) on how the 32-year-old woman had accused Bhandari of subjecting her to mental and sexual harassment for the last one year. Despite the FIR against Bhandari, Sahar police officials are yet to arrest him. The victim alleges that the cops are still just taking statements and delaying the arrest. On Wednesday the woman was called back to work and asked to rejoin her original position in the company.
