Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju, who is considered to be a close confidant of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is ready to resign, reports suggest. According to reports in some sections of the media, Ashok Gajapathi Raju informed Chandrababu Naidu that he will resign if the latter desires.
Recently, the AP CM convened a meeting of the party MPs in Vijayawada to discuss the party strategy to be adopted during the upcoming monsoon session of Parliament. During the meeting, Union Minister YS Chowdary reportedly asked the Aviation minister to get funds for construction of Airports in Andhra Pradesh. Ashok Gajapathi Raju reportedly replied that it was not mentioned in the AP bifurcation act that Centre would give funds for the airports.
However, it is learnt that Chandrababu reportedly asked Ashok Gajapathi Raju to get funds even it was not mentioned in the bifurcation bill.
