Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis brings old passport, forces delay of flight to US by 50 minutes

Mumbai: An Air India flight to US was held up for 50 minutes in Mumbai after Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis forgot to bring his new passport, sources said.

According to sources, the Chief Minister's aide brought his old passport to the airport. An official was then sent to his residence to collect the new passport.
The international flight AI 191 was supposed to depart around 1:30 AM.


Meanwhile, Air India has issued a statement on the issue, "The flight, AI 191 of 29th June, 2015 was delayed by a total of 57 minutes. The delay was partly due to technical/operational reasons, and also the ATC."
