Alliance Air likely to start flights to Mysuru

Mysuru: The resumption of commercial flights to the Heritage City got wings with a team of officials from Alliance Air, a subsidiary of Air India, inspecting the Mysuru Airport on Wednesday.

The team inspected the facility and infrastructure available at the airport. It will submit a report to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), seeking slots for flight schedules.


The airlines has indicated that it would like to operate flights during the morning and evening hours, which is one of the major demands to enhance the feasibility of the workable airport. It is planning to link Mysuru to major tourist destinations in the nation in a move to tap the tourism hub's potential.
