The Union Civil Aviation Ministry has finally agreed to Congress
president Sonia Gandhi’s demand that Air India fulfills its commitment
of recruiting 50 per cent of its commercial pilots from Rae Bareli-based
Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi (IGRUA).

This was in response to Sonia’s letter — dated April 1, 2015 — where she had reminded the Civil Aviation Ministry of Air India’s promise to hire 50 per cent of its pilots from IGRUA.
