Ahmedabad: As many as 25 Los Angeles-bound passengers from Ahmedabad
were stranded at Abu Dhabi airport on Wednesday for several hours due to
an alleged goof-up by two private airlines in their bookings.
The passengers had left from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International airport at 5 am by Jet Airways flight for Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.
They landed at 8 am at Abu Dhabi. When they were about to board 9.10 am Los Angeles bound Etihad flight, they were told that they could not board as the flight is overbooked.
Jet Airways and Etihad are partners for international routes and these passengers had booked flight through Jet Airways.
