Dreamliner snags still haunting carrier

New Delhi: After a period of relative calm, Dreamliner snags are back with a vengeance for Air India.

A Boeing 787 was grounded in Shanghai Saturday night after it had reached there from India. On Sunday, AI sent men and material to repair this plane on the schedule Mumbai-Delhi-Shanghai flight. An hour after take off, the B-787 reportedly gave a warning of "low oil pressure" in one of the engines.

After getting such a warning, pilots usually switch off the engine that has given this warning and then land at the nearest airport. On Sunday, the aircraft returned to Mumbai and was grounded there. Later another aircraft was arranged that took off for China with, apart from passengers, men and material to repair repair the aircraft grounded there.
