Dubai: A Dubai Airport baggage handler who was accused of stealing a
piece of candy worth Dh2 from a passenger’s luggage has been found not
guilty.
The Dubai Criminal Court acquitted PJ, 25, from India, of a charge of theft, which he denied when he appeared in court earlier this month.
Prosecutors said that on June 15 this year PJ was seen opening a passenger’s bag as he loaded luggage into an Emirates plane and taking the candy.
