Bengaluru: A Non-Resident Indian (NRI), who is said to have pocketed Rs
50 lakh from a Bengaluru college by falsely promising to provide
learning aids at throwaway prices, has been arrested by the CCB sleuths
at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi.
The suspect, Rahul Chaturvedi, had flown into New Delhi from the US and was planning to go to Haryana, his home state. He later planned to fly to Hong Kong. But the airport authorities were quick to detain him as there was a lookout notice on him.
They also seized Rs 24,000 in cash, US dollars, pen drives, hard disks and memory cards from him.
