Air India Kolkata-Delhi flight lands in capital after 12-hour delay

New Delhi: Air India’s Kolkata-Delhi flight which was scheduled to reach the national capital on Sunday night reached the airport on Monday morning. The 12-hour delay was caused after a technical snag was detected in the aircraft. Passengers who landed this morning complained that the airlines kept them waiting. Air India 701 landed in Delhi at 8: 55 AM on Monday while it was supposed to land the day before.

Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Bast who was among the passengers was shifted to another plane and flew to Delhi along with 50 other passengers on Sunday. Passengers were served refreshments at 8 PM and were deplaned at 10 PM. They were transported to Air India terminal and no official attended them. Furious passengers raised protest against the airlines as there was no update from either crew or the pilots regarding the new plane. The plane also had children and senior citizens who had to cope with difficulty. The flight finally took off on Monday after they were shifted to another aircraft.
