Air India to launch flight between Amritsar-Delhi from March 27

Amritsar: Keeping in view the high air traffic between the holy city and the national Capital, Air India is expected to launch one more flight between Amritsar and New Delhi from March 27.
Addition of one more flight will take the total number of flights being operated daily on the route to nine. Already, eight flights are being operated by the three airlines.

These airlines collectively operate eight daily flights between Amritsar and Delhi. The national carrier, Air India, and Jet Airways operate three flights per day, while SpiceJet has two. The number of Air India flights will swell to four per day on the route with the addition of new one.
The new flight called AI 454 will arrive at 6:10 am and depart as AI 453 at 6:55 am from Amritsar airport.
Booking has already started for the new flight. Punjab-bound passengers arriving at Delhi airport from various destinations in the world in the midnight will be able to land at Amritsar airport in the morning. “Similarly, Delhi-bound passengers having a day’s work can conveniently land in the national Capital in the morning and return either by train or other available flights,” said Munish Mehra, a travel agent.
