New Delhi: A rodent was reportedly sighted on a Dreamliner (VT-ANV) flying into Delhi from Europe on Saturday.
"The crew reported this to engineering. Once passengers were offloaded, the aircraft was taken to a parking bay. Rat traps were laid and the doors closed. The plane remained grounded on Sunday," a senior AI official said.
An aircraft needs to be fumigated after a rodent is sighted to ensure it is eliminated and does not pose a threat to safety by cutting electric wires and sending the systems haywire.
