Aurangabad: After providing parking facilities to non-scheduled aircrafts at the International Chikalthana Airport in Aurangabad, the airport authority has decided to allow passengers to park their cars for a maximum three days at the airport.
Aurangabad airport director Alok Varshneya said the airport has decided to give permission to passengers, who wish to park their vehicles at the airport during their travel period. At present, the vehicles are not allowed to be parked during the night or for long periods.
"Considering the comfort level of passengers, especially those travelling from nearby areas such as Jalna, Latur, Beed, and catching a flight from Aurangabad, the airport has decided to allow car parking for a maximum of three days at a stretch," he said.
Soon, signage in this regard would be put up in the parking lot. However, passengers have to seek prior permission from the airport authority and will have to pay Rs 149 per day for parking the car. "During the day, on a regular basis, the parking charges are Rs 35 for three hours, while charges increase later," he said.
