SpiceJet to fly Boeing 737 aircraft on Pune-Goa route

Panaji: In view of the summer holiday rush, low-cost carrier SpiceJet announced that it would replace the existing Bombardier Q400 aircraft with a Boeing 737 aircraft from April 17 along the Pune-Goa route.

With the change in aircraft effected, the seating capacity on the domestic route during the summer has been bumped up to 186 passengers per flight.
With the introduction of the summer schedule, the airline has also increased its flight operations to 306 daily flights from 240 flights operated in the entire domestic sector, the airline said. "We would like to thank our customers for their continuous support in helping us achieve the highest load factor consistently for the past 10 months. Our new summer schedule is an extension of our existing strategy that will cater to the robust market demand for the coming holiday season," Shilpa Bhatia, senior vice-president commercial at SpiceJet said.
