AI to take up review of easing security norms at Srinagar Airport

Srinagar: “Srinagar airport is super sensitive airport security wise, we understand that the people face inconvenience,” said Sharad Kumar adding that the AAI Srinagar would also the BCAS to review the security ratings.
Director, Airport Authority of India (Srinagar), Sharad Kumar today said that Airport Authority would urge Bureau of Civil Aviation Security Airport to revisit the security ratings of the Srinagar airport in order to ease the movement of passengers in the aerodrome. 

“Srinagar airport is super sensitive airport security wise, we understand that the people face inconvenience,” said Sharad Kumar adding that the AAI Srinagar would also the BCAS to review the security ratings.
Director was interacting with media persons at the launch of GoAir’s evening flight from Srinagar Airport.
“ We are confident that the situation has improved a lot in Kashmir and once we will take up the issue with the BCAS, they may reduce the rating from super sensitive to sensitive which will ease the movement of passengers and their accompanies inside the airport,” he said adding that the airport authority is mulling to install conveyor belts at the gate of the airport in order to help out passengers.
