In what will bring huge smiles to travellers, Air India has unveiled yet
another offer today after virtually beating Indian Railways with AC II
Rajdhani-like train fares. The state-controlled airliner has given a new
year gift to flyers by raising the free check-in baggage limit on the
Delhi-Mumbai Boeing 747 flights – the flight will be much more
comfortable than the new smaller planes for sure! The economy class
passengers will now be allowed to carry 40 kilograms while it would be
50 kiligrams for the business class passengers.
The revised check-in baggage limit is effective from tomorrow i.e. January 7. At present, Air India allows only 25 kg in the economy class and 35kg in the business class.
Air India in a statement said, “Following its successful decision to deploy the iconic Boeing 747 on Delhi-Mumbai route from December 13 last year, Air India will now allow up to 40kg and 50kg of free check-in baggage for both economy and business class passengers on these flights”.
