AC bu service from airport

Passengers arriving at Ahmedabad airport have often faced issues with taxis and radio cabs that either do not pick them up on time, cancel a trip last minute or end up overcharging them. Now, Airports Authority of India and Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation are launching AC luxury bus service for passengers from June 24. The buses, to be run at a frequency of 30 minutes, will start from the terminal building and take passengers to several prominent locations in the city. Janmitra, a prepaid card, will also be introduced by the AMC on the same day.

Ahmedabad airport director Manoj Gangal said, "Like many major international airports, we will have bus service for passengers connecting some of the prominent locations of the city and most of the star hotels. These will be 28-seater airconditioned buses with separate compartment for luggage and fitted with CCTV camera for the safety of passengers." Confirming the bus service schedule, Municipal Commissioner Mukesh Kumar said, "The service will start at 4 am and will go on till 10.25 pm. The buses are scheduled at every 30 minutes."
