Puducherry: Commercial passenger flight operations could resume sooner than expected in the Union Territory with SpiceJet committing to operate its maiden Hyderabad-Puducherry-Hyderabad flight on August 15. “We have negotiated with them to launch their daily flights through Puducherry airport from Independence Day and they have agreed,” Chief Secretary Manoj Parida told The Hindu. Originally, SpiceJet was slated to operate a 60-seat ATR aircraft connecting Puducherry and Hyderabad from September 1.
