IndiGo, one of India’s leading airlines, on Thursday announced its decision to expand its operations by launching 18 new non-stop flights as part of its winter schedule on its destination network. Six of these 18 flights will fly daily and the rest will fly on Sundays.
The airline will introduce daily flights between Amritsar and Bengaluru — the first carrier to introduce a daily service on the route. It has also announced increased frequency of flights on routes like Mumbai-Mangalore, Bengaluru-Dehradun, Delhi-Dubai, Mumbai-Lucknow and more. The only international destination to be catered in this plan is Dubai where the non-stop flight will operate only on Sundays.
The new flights will start operating from October 29, 2017 and are expected to operate till March 24, 2018.
Aditya Ghosh, president and whole time director of IndiGo, released a statement on the carrier’s expansion plan.
