Celebrating safe skies

Begumpet: Acknowledging the efforts of CNS Electronic Personnel in ensuring safe skies for civil aviation, the International Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel (ATSEP) Day was celebrated by the Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) Officers’ guild at the Begumpet airport here on Monday.

Supervising the 2.8 million square nautical miles of Indian airspace, electronic specialists of CNS test and deploy advanced operating systems to ensure that passengers have a comfortable flight experience.

From discussing about the recent technology of establishing a real-time navigation facility in airplanes to exploring ways in which spoof flights planted by attackers can be identified, the event shed light over the workload of the back-end saviours who are a core unit in the aviation sector.
“Occasions like these are not only platforms to discuss our accomplishments but also to reflect on the quality of work that needs to be produced to raise our bar to the next level,” said G S Rao, General Manager (CNS) of Airports Authority of India.
