Kishangarh airport gets a ticket to fly

The Kishangarh Airport was inaugurated on Wednesday by chief minister Vasundhara Raje and minister of state for civil aviation Jayant Sinha.

Addressing the people on the occasion, Raje termed it an historic day and said that the dream she had seen in her last tenure has now become reality.

She said the wait of the people of Ajmer for an airport has been realised after 57 years. She thanked Prime minister Narendra Modi and Sinha for this. Raje, in a direct reference to the then prime minister Man Mohan Singh, said that the people who were trying to credit for this had just laid the foundation stone in 2013 and no work was done thereafter. Speaking on the occasion, Sinha said that very soon flight for Delhi will be started from Kishangarh.

Giving a political tone to his speech, Sinha said that there are many who just talk or make promises but “we (BJP) carry the work of development on ground”. He said that with the help of scheme of UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) a common man is now able to travel in aeroplane . Sinha mentioned that under the leadership of Modi, in one year, 30 airports were inaugurated across the country . In the state too, Bikaner, Kota, and Jaisalmer got connected by air and now Kishangarh is added to the list. Notably, now, it’s expected that the regular flights will start from Kishangarh airport within 10 days.. Sources informed that Zoom Air and Spicejet were planning to start their services from Kishangarh. It’s expected that in coming days, Kishangarh will be connected with Mumbai, Delhi , Kolkata , Chennai and Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, after returning from Mishandle, Sinha inspected the terminal of Jaipur Airport . Reacting to this, PCC chief Sachin Pilot said that all clearances relating to Kishangarh airport were done when the congress was in power. In past four years of Raje rule there was no effort made to operate flights from the airport. As the elections are nearing, the CM is just trying to reap political mileage by takeing the credit for the airport, Pilot added.
