New Delhi: In a bid to further strengthen its operations, IndiGo, India's largest carrier in terms of market share, today announced the launch of six new and five additional frequencies on its existing domestic network.
"Effective February 01, 2018, IndiGo will connect Chennai with first direct flight on Chennai - Udaipur, Chennai -Varanasi, Chennai - Patna and Chennai - Lucknow sectors," the airline said in a release.
The airline said that it will also introduce first direct flight on Patna - Varanasi, Udaipur - Jaipur, Jaipur - Chennai sectors as well. Booking for these flights are open with immediate effect.
"With soaring demand on these sectors, we are hopeful that these flights will prove to be popular among our customers," Sanjay Kumar, Chief Commercial Officer, IndiGo was quoted in the release.
Five additional on Ahmedabad - Chennai, Chennai - Thiruvananthapuram, Thiruvananthapuram - Chennai, Chennai - Ahmedabad and Jaipur - Chennai sectors are also being introduced, the release said.
