Russia has expressed interest in development and production of passenger aircraft and in the field of aero engines manufacturing in India.
This was discussed during the meeting of the India Russia Working group on Modernization and Industrial Cooperation on October 2 in Moscow.
"In the civil aviation sector, the Russian side expressed interest in participation of the project for development and production of Indian passenger aircraft, and in the field of aero engines manufacturing," a statement of the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) said.
he Indian delegation was led by DIPP Secretary Saurabh Chandra.
On fertiliser sector, both the sides also re-affirmed their interest in developing long term cooperation between the Russian and the Indian companies, including joint development of phosphates deposits in Russia.
