New Delhi: Eyeing the wedding season in India and newly-weds planning their honeymoons abroad, airlines have come up with special fares for travel to destinations like Mauritius, Malaysia and Thailand.
While Dubai-based Emirates is offering a 20 per cent discount for newly-wed Indian travellers as a special gift for their honeymoon travel, Malaysia-based low cost carrier AirAsia is giving promotional fares to them for travel to Langkawi, Bali and Phuket from Kuala Lumpur.
The special discount fares can be availed between December 4 and December 7, Emirates said in a release. However, the travel on these discounted tickets can be undertaken till March 31 next year, it noted.
"This is considered the wedding season in India and couples will be in the process of planning their honeymoons," said Emirates' vice president (India and Nepal), Essa Sulaiman Ahmad.
