Frankfurt: A premium customer data base, which helps Star Alliance
recognise customers who are Gold and Silver members more easily than in
the past, went live on September 30 this year, said Justin Erbacci,
Vice-President, Customer Experience and IT, Star Alliance. The data
base has been developed by TCS.
The data base is likely to benefit Air India frequent flyers as the State-owned carrier joined the 27-member global airlines club in July this year.
In an interaction with Indian journalists at the Alliance headquarters, Erbacci said the partnership accrual interface hub too had gone live at the end of June this year making it easier for passengers who are members of one frequent flyer system to get their miles credited on another carrier.
