Air India passengers are having excruciating experiences due to delays of its flights that have seemingly become a regular feature.
The departure of another AI flight at Riyadh airport was delayed by two hours and 20 minutes. A family said that they were supposed to leave at 9:15 a.m. However, the plane they were going to travel on arrived from New Delhi at 10:48 a.m. instead of the scheduled 8 a.m.
Finally, the passengers took off at 11:35 a.m. There were several pregnant women and children affected by the delay. Air India officials blamed it on the late arrival of the plane from New Delhi.
Mohammad Rafiullah, one of the passengers, who had to catch a connecting flight to Patna, said: “Such negligence by Air India and the indifferent and callous attitude of its staff not only cause inconvenience but also mar the image of the national carrier.”
