Austria seems to be the flavour of the season for the Wadias, who have
appointed Wolfgang Prock Shauer, the second national of the
Germanspeaking central European country to be a part of the airline, as
chief executive officer.
Shauer, who worked with Jet Airways from 2003 to 2009, joins fellow Austrian Tim Jordan, who recently joined GoAir as chief commercial officer and assisted managing director Jeh Wadia in the airline's affairs in recent times.
After the departure of Giorgio de Roni, GoAir's longest serving CEO, on health grounds, the airline is being led by Jeh Wadia and Jordan. From January 2013 till February this year, Shauer was working with the 140 aircraft-strong Air Berlin - an Etihad partner airline - as chief strategy and planning officer and part of the management board. He has also served as the chief executive of British Midland.
