Bengaluru: Seeing your suitcase wide open on an airport tarmac just before flight takeoff can be disconcerting.
Dancer Prathibha Prahlad says she underwent a bad experience at the Bengaluru airport on Wednesday when the airlines put the damaged bag into the aircraft. They didn't bother to check how the suitcase had opened and whether anything had gone missing, she added .
Prathibha, based out of New Delhi, has raised the matter with IndiGo airlines and with other authorities over the incident she faced at Kempegowda International Airport.
She says that apart from her baggage being mishandled, there was no security check on it before it was put aboard the aircraft. "What if some contraband was stuffed into the open bag?" the dancer wondered.
On Wednesday, Prathibha was to take an IndiGo flight to New Delhi from Be ngaluru around 8.30pm. She checked in her suitcase and proceeded for boarding.
