The next time hunger pangs strike, while you are negotiating a long
delay at Mumbai’s domestic terminal, getting that lip-smacking burger or
masala chai will get easier. Look out for orange-tee-sporting
attendants, tablet in tow, from Travel Food Services. They are part of a
new food delivery service, called Food@Gate, launched exclusively at
the domestic terminal of the Chhhatrapati Shivaji International Airport,
by Travel Food Services (TFS).
Food@Gate targets fliers waiting near boarding gates, and comes with a promised delivery within 20 minutes.
“A flier no longer has to leave their seat or wait in a queue at any of our outlets. We bring the food to them, and that too within 20 minutes of order confirmation. If we fail to deliver in time, it’s free,” says Gaurav Dewan, chief operating officer, TFS. They are also offering free coupons against delayed orders to be redeemed in future orders.
